2015 - 8-bit Microprocessor for Grad School
Was packing and found the 8-bit microprocessor I built years ago It’s way over due for a redesign at some point! Manually entered a set of instructions that were followed and as the program ran, the LEDS would light up based on the instruction code and data being sent.
2014 - Daft Punk Thomas Helmet
This helmet was built entirely from scratch starting from paper templates and protoboard for the actual circuitry. I was a broke college student lol

2014 - Predator
Something in college I did with an old CD drive to make retractable blades and EVA foam. Recycled an old CD drive to make retractable blades.
2013 - Foam Iron Man Build
Iron Man suit! it was my first year ever building anything after watching videos on Youtube for hours on end. I had gotten my internship that summer so I had a bit of cash to get started. 95% of it it was built out of foam except the helmet.
I also knew I wanted to make the helmet open and close just like in the movies so of course I had to figure that out. I used Arduino to write some short code and rigged it to a switch that controlled the motion.
It was bulky and difficult to walk around in but I enjoyed every second of building it. This opened the door to my pursuit of just building things for the hell of it.
